Range Rover Velar 2.0d 240hp Tuning
Range Rover Velar, an suv-off-roader appreciated perhaps less than Evoque but still well liked. Today we will cover the performance of the Velar with a 2-liter Diesel engine with 240hp. This is a good power rating, however, it has to deal with the more than 1,800 kg of mass.
We have certainly tuned and increased power more times on the Evoques than we have intervened with our chip tuning units, but even on these bulkier Range Rovers we have gotten some satisfaction. The Velar in question mounts a 2000 common rail turbodiesel 4-cylinder with 240 horsepower expressed at 4,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 500Nm available at 1,500 rpm. On paper, everything is in order but some users complain of sluggishness in the acceleration phase. Even tests from some authoritative car magazines report a time of over 8.5 seconds for the classic 0-100 test, while the top speed stops at about 215km/h, a rather reasonable figure considering the type of car and its mass.
We have had the opportunity to tune the Velar with this engine several times, and in one case we tested the car on the power dyno after installing the version of CHIPBOX specifically for the latest generation of common-rail engines. The increase in power is encouraging, + 32 horsepower on the output graph, even more interesting is the increase in engine torque, which stands at +68Nm, a value that brings the maximum peak, just above 1600 rpm, to an impressive 568Nm, a value available " underneath" the accelerator pedal and useful for moving the Velar's 18-quintal mass.

You will have +32hp and +68Nm at your disposal on the 4-cylinder turbodiesel.
